Find A Rewarding Auto Technician Job With A Great Team In Elgin

We are a local, family-owned and operated independent auto care facility that opened in 1996 in Elgin. When we were planning just how we were going to go about establishing our new mechanic shop, it became time to come up with a name. We wrote down a list of names 3 pages long. After many long discussions, we decided none of the names were suitable. Finally, we came up with K and S because of the tool manufacturer SK tools. To be ‘us’, we decided to swap the K and S and add Autocare. Later, we became a premier NAPA AutoCare Center in Elgin.

We can serve customers better by incorporating new advances in technology for mechanics, continuing education and training for our technicians, and new newest equipment. Our mechanics enjoy serving their friends and neighbors in Elgin, and have combined experience of over 65 years in the industry. We are like a vehicle’s medical team, taking preventive measures to avoid potentially expensive repairs in the future and save customers money on auto repair.

Why Work At KS AutoCare?

If you don’t keep up with your regular brake service, chances are you’ll need brake repair at some point. When you operated your car’s brakes, the brake pads or shoes use friction to slow the vehicle. These parts are designed to wear down and be replaced on a regular basis, and neglecting replacement can be detrimental to the entire braking system. If your brakes are squealing, grinding, or even creating a funny smell, it is probably time for brake repair. The brake experts at KS Autocare can help by inspecting your entire braking system and determining where the problem lies. We can then get you fixed up fast and back on the road in no time flat.
